This April, Lock N Load Events are proud to present the return of the ‘King of Clubs’ Carl Cox to London for the first time in 3 years, as he hosts his legendary Carl Cox & Friends party at old stomping ground Heaven on Thursday 10th April.

Carl has been busy globe-trotting of late, taking in countless venues across the USA, South America, Europe and the Far East, as well as his current reside of Australia. Carl has just finished a massive tour down under, playing the Big Day Out festivals and numerous parties besides. Carl has also been splitting his time between getting some much needed R&R (including his passion of motorbikes!) and studio work (mostly on his forthcoming artist album) before the touring kicks off again for 2008 in Miami at this year’s WMC. London is one of Carl’s first ports of call post-Miami and what better way to return to his homeland than host this exclusive Carl Cox & Friends party at Heaven... the scene of his last London sell-out show 3 years ago.

2007 was a big festival year for Carl as he hit the UK fields of Global Gathering, Creamfields, Coloursfest and the year before that – South West Four, Global Gathering, Bestival and Rockness. It’s been a while though since Carl has actually played a London club night, so this forthcoming midweeker is a real celebration and will see him return to his clubbing roots to give London clubbers what they’ve been waiting for!! His radio show ‘Global’ has just reached over 5 million listeners and is now broadcast across 24 countries worldwide... making him one of the most important broadcasters on the planet. Later this year look out a forthcoming DVD on Coxy, which is an insight into Carls’ life, following him on travels around the world with interviews with many friends, family, promoters along the way!! Part of the DVD will feature a full set recorded live from this year’s WMC... not to be missed!!

But back to the night at hand, which sees a handpicked selection of guests joining Carl for this un-missable event. The concept of the line-up combines a variety of genres which Carl supports at his infamous Space (Ibiza) parties where he embraces everything from drum n bass and breaks, to house and techno. This is what Carl Cox & Friends parties are all about - not being stuck in any one genre, but more of the old rave mentality where people can come along and move from room to room at ease, taking in different DJs and styles. The line-up therefore is a mixed bag of artists, ranging from Carl and friends in the main room (with support from up-coming Jon Rundell), to the mighty Pendulum (DJ Set) in the Star Bar and his Italian residents at Space Angels of Love in the Dakota Bar. Other guests on the night include breaks dons Meat Katie and Breakfastaz rocking it out alongside Pendulum, with X-Press 2 hero Ashley Beedle going deep over at The Island.
